It was recently announced by Pioneering VFX studio Weta Digital that Billionaire philanthropist and entrepreneur Sean Parker has invested a considerable amount in the company. The details of the investment and other information have not been revealed to the media. However, this investment will undoubtedly fund the studio’s growth. Already Weta Digital has made a mark as the industry’s most sophisticated and advanced VFX production.
The reason for such a huge investment by Sean Parker is because he was impressed by the hard work put in by its Founders Peter Jackson, Richard Taylor and Jamie Selkirk and therefore would love to be a partner in their talented team.
It’s not just the investment in money, but the fact that Sean Parker will be actively involved with the team which has garnered a lot of interest.
So after winning accolades with super-duper movies such as Avatar, King Kong and Lord of Rings, it looks like the best is yet to come from Weta Digital.
